The ground on the island is mostly rocky and is not a surprise that here are located several pits of which the most known are the Bilosaj cave and Ana's pit. On the minor fertile field are growing almonds.

Gravel and sandy beaches are located in the Bay of Sladun on the west coast of the island. Along the south-east coast of the island are located the islands of Saint Eufemia, Kraljevac, Galerija, and their coast are ideal for an underwater fishing.

The island Ciovo was inhabited in the ancient Romans time while in the Medieval time on that area were located several small villages. Ciovo is full of historic catholic monuments; the medieval church of Saint Mary in Zedno, early roman church...
