In the central area of the island of Pag, on the south side of the protected Pag bay is situated the village Metajna.

From the city of Novalja Metajna is 12 km distant.

This little tourist place welcomed its first tourists in 1928. An amazing play of nature on this area, left an incredible landscapes. On the south-east area of the location is spread one f the most denuded area in Croatia, inadequate for living but rich of medicinal herbs, while on the north-west part the vegetation becomes more dense.
