Cultural tourism is defined as travel persons outside the residence with a view to the search for new experiences and experiences that meet their cultural needs. Vrbovsko is situated at the far east of Gorski kotar. In the north, river Kupa separates Vrbovsko from adjoining Slovenia, while the eastern border follows the line of Zdihovo, Liplje and Bosiljevo settlements and cuts through the river Dobra valley near Ljubušina. The geographical position of Vrbovsko that places it along the transit lines halfway between Zagreb and Rijeka is of extreme importance, and good rail and highway connections provide for quick arrival to Vrbovsko.
From Vrbovsko one can go for a hiking tour on the mountain range Lovnik - Litoric, toward the Kamacnik canyon, to Orlova Stijena (Eagle's Rock) and toward the Frankopan town of Severin na Kupi. Recreational facilities include tennis courts, basketball and football playgrounds and a bowling alley. Hunting, fishing and horseback riding are also possible. Local gastronomic specialities include venison, home-made cheese, etc.
