The city of Capljina is located on the right bank of the river Neretva, not far from the Croatian border. Here, the main municipal hall is located. Parts of the city are Gradina, Vrgorac, Musa, Capljina-city and the New part of town. The outerlying towns are: Dretelj, Tasovcici, Grabovina and Struge (strong local community). The archeological habitats are: a roman town, a cemetary on Kuka, a burial ground covered in tombstones on Kuka (destroyed), Mala Gradina (a prehistoric and roman town), Morgorjelo-villa suburbana, etc. Many monuments are located in Capljina: the statue of King Tomislav in King Tomislav Square, in front of the post-office an untitled sculpture by author Ante Brkic and in front of the hotel „Morgorjelo“ (which was destroyed in the war) there is a sculpture called „The Flower of Hercegovina“ (Cvijet Hercegovina) who's author is Franjo Beslic.
